As Ireland's home-grown fire and security consultants, Sharp Group plays an active role in developing the sustainability of our communities and our business.
We have a real passion for the local community in which we live and work. Many of our team members take part on governing boards for local charities, like Youth Horizons or particpate in working with young people in education and sport.
Excellence as standard
We believe in "Education for All" and are committed to supporting young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. One of the main charities we work with is Youth Horizons, a charity funded school that offers an opportunity for early school leavers to complete their education to leaving certificate standard.
Sport and education go hand in hand. Whilst education is critical, learning life skills and teamwork can come from all different types of sport. Sharp Group team members take on different roles including working with Shamrock Rovers and their under 15 years team as well as undertaking Charity Bike Rides for charities like Darkness into Light.
Sustainability relates to social value, improving economic strength and protecting the world around us. As an Irish borne business, we take great pride in giving something back through community support and by taking full responsibility for our role in protecting the planet.
Sharp Group is committed to supporting its communities in Dublin and in the local towns where our own employees live. Investing in our communities is one of our brand values with an emphasis on supporting young people -"“If people don’t invest in young people, the cycle of life dies" Jason Shields, Sharp Group
Committed to giving something back, we want all of our staff to take part in activity close to their hearts and to enjoy coming to work as part of one team. We have deep rooted values to support our communities and each other.
Certified to ISO14001, we are committed to reducing carbon emissions and meeting Ireland's nZEB goals. We have strong environmental values, conducting our business in a manner that promotes sustainability.
A charity close to our hearts, Youth Horizons offers an opportunity to early school leavers to complete their education to leaving certificate standard. In addition to this they provide support and guidance to help people achieve their true potential. We are a community based charity situated in Jobstown, West Tallaght, Ireland.

During lockdown, one of our directors, Joe Doolan ventured on a 100km bike ride for Darkness into Light. With lockdown measures in place, Joe undertook the challenge from a local circuit which was less than 2km away. During this sunny Saturday, our team logged on to Pieta House to donate and track Joe's achievement.
Darkness into Light is a charity run by Pieta to provide free, accessible one-to-one counselling to people suffering from suicidal ideation. To read more about Pieta, you can visit their website https://www.darknessintolight.ie/home-page-2021
